Ella At 13

Little Ells getting big and wise
Silent and knowing eyes
Sees it all and says nothing
Till the moment comes
And then the truth
Strikes
But right now
Ella is waiting and watching
Taking it all in
Understanding
That one day
When the times right
She let’s us know
From the drop to the stone
All the things
The important things
No-ones ever noticed
We’re going to hear from Ella
And then we’ll know.
